Cowgirls Improve to 5-0 in District Play

Tuesday night the Coppell Cowgirl Soccer team played Irving High in a district matchup. Varsity played a strong game and came out with a 4-0 win. Jocelyn AlonzoRebecca Watley (2) and Alyssa Roemer scored for the Cowgirls. Rebecca WatleyMicayla WeathersKatie Odum and Bailey Peek provided the assists. Lauren Kellett was in goal with 5 saves. The Cowgirls improve to 15-1-1 on the season and 5-0-0 in district play.

JV 1 had another dominating performance with a 9-0 win. Haley Stein, Grace Turman (2), Taylor NeitzelReezon EkeKaitlyn Shilling (2), Abby Skarbek and Caroline Dunn all scored for the Cowgirls. Shana SimpsonMackenzie ShannonTaylor NeitzelSarah MobleyReezon Eke (2) and Ellie Stewart had the assists. JV 1 is now 8-2-3 on the sesaon and 3-0-2 in district. 

JV 2 found great success and finished with a 5-0 win. Daniella Goff (2), Jessica Hayakawa, Miriam Avila and Riya Karpe scored for the Cowgirls. Ariana Hernandez (2), Carly Duperroir and Clarissa Cannon had the assists. The Cowgirls are 5-4-1 on the season and 3-1-0 in district play.

The next district match will be played at Flower Mound HS on Friday, February 8.
