On Tuesday night the Coppell Cowgirl Soccer Program honored their 8 seniors on senior night. Ryley Andrews, Nicole Henry, Jenna Hussain, Addison Ramirez, Shelby Sylvester, Rebecca Watley, Micayla Weathers and Mary Ziperman played in their last regular season home game at Buddy Echols Field. Congratulations to these 8 seniors for their heart and dedication to the program for the past 4 years.
The Cowgirls took on Flower Mound in their last district home game and finished with a 2-1 win. Rebecca Watley scored off of a brilliant finish from Micayla Weathers in the first 30 seconds of the game. Flower Mound quickly responded with a goal of their own. In the second half Micayla Weathers was able to find the goal from Ryley Andrews to solidify the win. Lauren Kellett was in goal with 5 saves. The Cowgirls are now 23-1-1 on the season and 13-0 in district play.
JV 1 played a hard fought game but unfortunately fell 2-0. Zoe Goodale was in goal with 6 saves. The Cowgirls are now 12-5-4 on the season and 7-3-3 in district play.
In the last district game for JV 2, they held a tough Flower Mound team to only two goals and fell 2-0. JV 2 will finish as District Runner-Ups this season. They will travel to play one last district match against Highland Park on Friday night. The Cowgirls are 7-7-2 on the season and will finish 4-3-2 in district play.
The Cowgirls will travel to play Irving Nimitz in their last district game of the season on Friday.
