Cowgirls Extend Win Streak to 15

The Cowgirls looked to extend their win streak to 15 on Friday night against Marcus. A tough battle between the number 1 and 2 seeds in district play. The Cowgirls came back from a 1-0 start after an early goal from the Marauders. Coppell responded with 2 and finished with a 2-1 win. In the final 30 seconds of the first half a corner kick for the Cowgirls would lead to a goal by Maya OzymyKatie Odum had the assist. The second goal came from Freshman, Bailey PeekLauren Kellett was in goal with 3 saves. The Cowgirls are now 21-1-1 on the season and 11-0-0 in district play.

JV 1 competed in a tough match and ended in a 1-1 draw. Claire Yaney scored off of an assist from Taylor NeitzelZoe Goodale was in goal with 9 saves. The Cowgirls are 11-4-4 on the season and 6-2-3 in district play.

JV 2 played at a high level on Friday night and came away with a 2-2 tie. Carly Duperroir scored both goals with assists from Ariana Hernandez and Daniella GoffMakena Fisher had 7 saves and Makayla Wilkins had 2. The Cowgirls are 6-6-2 on the season and 3-2-1 in district play.

The Cowgirls will travel to Irving High School on Tuesday, March 5 for their next district game.
