Saturday, December 28 the Coppell Cowgirl Soccer teams opened their seasons with scrimmages against Waxahachie and Denton Ryan. 

The JV2 team played a competitive match against a tough Waxahachie team but fell 0-2. 

JV1 showed a dominating performance over Denton Ryan out scoring them 10-0. Scoring for the Cowgirls were Ellie Stewart (2), Michelle Pak, Mackenzie Wilhelm, Taylor Neitzel, Caroline Dunn, Chloe Phan, Claire Yaney and Hailey Stein. Michelle Pak, Ellie Stewart, Kaitlyn Shilling and Mackenzie Wilhelm all had assists. Makenna Fisher had 1 save. 

Varsity played a great match up against Denton Ryan and finished 3-0. Jocelyn Alonzo, Jenna Hussain and Bailey Peek scored from Ryley Andrews, Bailey Peek and Jocelyn Alonzo's assists respectively. Lauren Kellett had 2 saves for the Cowgirls. 

The Cowgirls return to play on Monday, December 31; JV2 will travel and play at Midlothian Heritage, JV1 and Varsity will face Mansfield.
