Coppell Girl's Soccer Completes Pre-Season

Varsity closed out their regular season preseason with a brilliant first half, the cowgirls were up 3-0 at the half with goals from Michelle PakMaya Ozymy and Jocelyn AlonzoRyley Andrews had the assist on all 3. The Cowgirls came out strong for a second half, Michelle Pak scored again from Micayla Weathers and Bailey Peek added the last goal to push the final score of 5-0. Varsity will travel to Georgetown for the Governor's Cup this weekend. 

The JV1 Cowgirls Soccer Team took on Paschall Tuesday night. The team came out with high energy, creating several opportunities early in the game. The first goal came when Taylor Neitzelfinished a pass from Ellie Stewart. Shortly after, Caroline Dunn took a free kick and finished in the upper corner of the goal. At half-time the score was 2-0. The Cowgirls continued to dominate in the second half. After the Paschall keeper deflected a ball, Shana Simpson crashed the goal and scored, bringing the final score up to 3-0. The Cowgirls continue play on Tuesday, January 22 in their first District game at Irving MacArthur.

The JV2 Cowgirls Soccer Team traveled to Marcus on Tuesday nigh to face the Marauders in their last regular preseason game. The Marauders scored early in the game but the Cowgirls responded and used a corner kick to score. Bernice David found the back of the net from Miriam Avila. After a tough battle throughout the game, Marcus scored a 2nd goal pushing the score 1-2 in the final minute of the game. The JV 2 Team will travel to the H &H Tournament this weekend and open up district play next Tuesday, January 22 against Irving MacArthur.
