Cowgirls Look Strong in Berkner Tournament

Coppell Cowgirls JV1 Soccer took on Allen Thursday night in the first group match of the JV Cup Tournament. Although the Cowgirls played well, the end result was a 0-0 tie. The tie and shutout earned the Cowgirls 4 points. 

The second match versus Berkner was physical and rainy. The first goal came when Taylor Neitzel combined with Sarah Mobley. Then Taylor Neitzel found Mackenzie Wilhelm who finished for the second goal. At the end of the first half, Berkner scored after they worked the ball into the box on a free kick and finished with a shot to the back post. In the second half the Cowgirls continued working the ball forward, Mackenzie Wilhelm passed the ball to Kaitlyn Shilling who scored the third goal. The final goal came in the final minutes of the game when Sarah Mobley sent the ball in for a cross and Reezon Eke headed the ball into the goal. The final score was 4-1, earning 9 more points for the Cowgirls.  

The Cowgirls resume their final group play match versus Naaman Forest at Eagle-Mustang Stadium, which will determine if the Cowgirls play in the Championship match at 7:40pm or 3rd place match at 7:00pm.
