After a tough scheduled preseason against top ranked programs, the JV 2 continued their reign as H&H Tournament Champions. On Thursday, the Cowgirls took on McKinney Boyd, a team that they had previously lost to earlier in preseason. A solid defensive performance kept the broncos scoreless, Carly Duperroir assisted on Ariana Hernandez's first goal of the season. The final score was 1-0.
Due to incoming weather for the weekend and several schedule changes the Cowgirls took on two opponents on Friday. The first game against North Side ended 9-0 in the Cowgirls favor. The second game was a tough battle against the Birdville Hawks, leaving the score in a 0-0 tie.
Throughout the tournament the Cowgirls drew enough points to turn out as tournament champions. This will conclude preseason for the Cowgirls, they will open district play on January 22 against Irving MacArthur at 4:30PM.
