Cowgirls Complete Shutout in First District Game

The Coppell Cowgirls Soccer Program opened up their district campaign against the Lady Cardinals from Irving MacArthur. In a windy road match the Cowgirls managed to put together a solid performance from each team and not allow the Cardinals to score. 

Varsity played a great game and finished 3-0. Jocelyn AlonzoMicayla Weathers and Maya Ozymy scored for the cowgirls, with Haley Roberson and Michelle Pak providing the assists. Lauren Kellett was in goal and recorded 3 saves for the night. The Cowgirls are now 11-1-1 on the season. 

JV 1 dominated both the first and second half and finished 7-0. Mackenzie Wilhelm was a huge offensive threat with 3 goals, Sarah Mobley (2), Claire Yaney and Kaitlyn Shilling also socred. Claire YaneyCaroline DunnKaitlyn Shilling (2) and Grace Turman had the assist. The Cowgirls are now 6-2-1 on the season.

JV 2 continued their recent string of strong performances with a solid 5-0 win. Inori TakahashiBernice DavidAriana Hernandez (2) provided the assists for Anjali KotaBernice David (3) and Carly Duperroir (2) to score. Makayla Wilkins was in goal and recorded 1 save. The Cowgirls are now 3-2-1 on the season. 

District will continue on Friday with a home game against Hebron. JV 2, JV 1 and Varsity will play at 4:30pm, 6:00 pm and 7:30 pm respectively.
