Girls Soccer Improves 2-0 on Season Against Hebron

On Friday night the Cowgirls took on the Hawks from Hebron High School in their 2nd District game of the season. 

Hebron proved to be one of the toughest opponents the Cowgirls have faced this season. After a battle in the first half, both teams were scoreless as they went into half time. At the start of the second half Rebecca Watley drew a foul that lead to a PK, Haley Roberson scored. Rebecca Watley also scored from Micayla Weathers leaving the Cowgirls with a 2-0 result. Lauren Kellett was in goal with 8 saves. The Cowgirls are now 12-1-1 on the season and 2-0-0 in district play.

JV 1 scored early in the first half from Claire Yaney with an assist from Mackenzie Shannon. They continued to fight to keep the Hawks scoreless but fell 1-1 off of a corner kick. The Cowgirls are now 6-2-2 on the season and 1-0-1 in district play. 

JV 2 put together a solid performance against the Hawks. Goals were scored from Bernice David and Daniella Goff with assists from Miriam Avila and Carly Duperroir. The Cowgirls are now 4-2-1 on the season and will play Allen at home on Tuesday at 4:30 PM.

The Cowgirls will face Lewisville at home on January 29 at 6:00 and 7:30 PM.
